Water Ramp

The new water ramp is open!  Download the water ramp waiver here.

The Apex Freestyle Club (AFC) Water Ramp Facility is the first portable floating water ramp in the world.  The ramp is secured on board an LCM6 (Landing Craft Mechanized) with a length of 56 feet, a beam of 14 feet, a displacement of 64 tons and cargo capacity of 34 tons.  The vessel is equipped with twin Detroit diesel engines and has stabilizers on port and starboard to prevent movement.   The uniquely designed and engineered ramp is built on a 48 foot trailer and can be lowered into travel mode, making it useable not only on water, but also with air bag applications as well.  The 58 foot in run has a slope of 31 degrees which can be adjusted from 29 to 33 degrees.  The top platform sits 33 feet above the water with the lip of the jump 6 feet from the surface.   A specially designed 27 inch lip extension can easily be added making the jump more than 8 feet above the water.

Moored in a secluded picturesque bay on Okanagan Lake in Penticton, British Columbia, the AFC Water Ramp Facility is the perfect offseason training center.   Penticton, in the sunny Okanagan Valley boasts over 2100 hours of sunshine and only 15 inches of rain annually allowing the AFC Water Ramp Facility to be open from May through October.
